Sir Louis Straker met with Ivailo Kalfin, Foreign Minister of Bulgaria. The meeting of the Foreign Ministers was the highest one-on-one official contact between Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and the Eastern European country. Ministers Straker and Kalfin discussed Bulgaria's recent admission to the European Union, matters of cooperation within the United Nations structure, and ways in which cooperation and interaction between their two countries could be deepened, strengthened and expanded.
