Minister of Foreign Affairs, Commerce and Trade, Sir Louis Straker met with his counterpart, Mourad Medelci, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. The two foreign ministers discussed the issue of Western Sahara, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' membership on the UN Special Committee on Decolonisation, and matters of mutual interest in the multilateral sphere. The foreign ministers also discussed cultural coperation and educational exchanges, including opportunities for Vincentian students to pursue studies in Algeria.
