Permanent Mission Makes Video Footage Available on YouTube
NEW YORK, NY, November 25, 2008: The Permanent Mission of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the United Nations is now making video footage available on the popular YouTube video sharing web site. The decision to make the footage available is a natural outgrowth of the Permanent Mission's goal to educate the public fully on its role and activities on behalf of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The YouTube site contains video footage of statements made by Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Ralph Gonsalves and Ambassador Camillo Gonsalves. Other public statements made at the United Nations will be posted to the video sharing site as they occur. Viewers can access a dedicated YouTube video channel at www.youtube.com/SVGUN The footage is also available at the Permanent Mission's official website (www.svg-un.org). In addition to the footage on the YouTube site, the Permanent Mission site contains statements that were not recorded, and other recordings that are too long to be accepted under the YouTube terms and conditions. The Permanent Mission will continue to seek ways to expend its outreach and educational efforts, and to further integrate new media into its functions. |
