Mr. N. “Pepper” Alexander joined the staff of the Permanent Mission of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in July 2003. He is primarily responsible for chauffering the Permanent Representative to official functions and also for the safety and security of the Mission personnel. Mr. Alexander also wears many other hats and is an indispensible asset to the Mission due to his willingness to handle the multitude of tasks and assignments that crop up on a daily basis in an office with limited human resources. Pepper enjoys his job.

Secretary/Accountant

Secretary/Account SVG Permanent Mission

Mrs. Maglyn Carrington has been employed with the Mission for the last five years as the Secretary/Accounts Officer. She hails from Chauncey and attended the Girls’ High School. Before migrating to the United States, she worked as a Public Servant for the Ministries of Education, Tourism and Finance for a number of years. Mrs. Carrington holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Management and Finance from Brooklyn College, CUNY.

Mozart Carr Attaché SVG Permanent Mission

Mr. Mozart Carr joined the Mission in August, 2009. Prior to this posting, he served within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commerce and Trade. He was first appointed to the public service in 2003 and has over the years worked in various arms of the Service, including Tax Administration and Tourism. Mr. Carr holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science with Law from the University of the West Indies and is currently pursuing graduate studies in Diplomacy and International Affairs.

Minister Counsellor SVG Permanent Mission

Ms. Nedra Miguel, after completing secondary school, migrated to the United States to further her studies. She obtained her degree in Psychology and Children’s Studies and was later assigned to the Consulate of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in New York, where she worked for five years. In October 2006, Ms. Miguel was transferred to the Permanent mission and assiged to cover the Third Committee of the United Nations, which deals with humanitarian affairs and human rights issues that affect peoples all over the world. Ms. Miguel was promoted to Minister Counsellor/Deputy Permanent Representative in December 2009, in recognition of her experience and hard work on behalf of the Permanent Mission.

The Ambassador

Ambassador Gonsalves

Ambassador Camillo M. Gonsalves became St. Vincent and the Grenadines Permanent Representative to the United Nations on November 1, 2007.Ambassador Gonsalves has a BA in Journalism from Temple University (Philadelphia PA, USA), a JD from George Washington University Law School (Washington DC, USA) and a MSc in Global Affairs from New York University (New York NY, USA). Ambassador Gonsalves worked as a journalist in Philadelphia, and later as a Corporate Litigation attorney in Washington DC. Most recently, he was the Senior Crown Counsel for the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Prior to his UN posting, Ambassador Gonsalves represented Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in various capacities in Cuba, Venezuela, Ethiopia, South Korea, Lybia and throughout the CARICOM region.
